Service Introduction
Using the top-tier inertial sensor-based capture system “Xsens MVN Link“, we offer high-quality, motion capture services starting from 200,000 yen for the standard plan.
Unlike optical motion capture, which uses cameras to record people, the MVN system calculates actors’ movements using 17 sensors attached to a suit that measure angular velocity, acceleration, geomagnetism, and atmospheric pressure on up to 10 axes.
This system does not require large-scale preparation or a dedicated studio, and can record even in environments with obstacles or blind spots, which are not feasible for optical systems. Additionally, the software removes the influence of magnetic fields in real time, minimizing the drift (accumulation of errors over time) in the local body coordinate system, a disadvantage of inertial sensors.(※1)(※2)
Therefore, recording can be done in offices or outdoors, as long as there is space for the actor to move. We also have operational experience in environments with significant magnetic interference, such as exhibition venues crowded with people and equipment.
※1: Magnetic influence is not completely eliminated.
※2: Software is compatible with HTC Vive trackers and base stations, enabling a drift-free recording environment.
The capture suit dedicated to MVN Link used during motion capture is very thin, allowing for layering with costumes. By conducting motion capture while wearing actual costumes, it is possible to obtain natural data without discomfort. Furthermore, using HTC Vive trackers and base stations, we can record the motion of objects such as sports equipment like bats and rackets, weapons like guns and swords, and even musical instruments like guitars.
Hand Capture
As an option, we offer hand capture (finger motion recording).
Our service uses the next-generation hand capture gloves, ‘MANUS Quantum Metagloves,’ which employ the latest magnetic tracking technology and obtain the absolute position of fingertips to accurately reflect the actor’s hand size, achieving millimeter-level hand and finger tracking.
This allows for accurate recording of delicate movements such as pressing strings on string instruments or typing on a keyboard.

Usage
Our service is versatile and can be used for a wide range of applications, including 3D CG videos for VR/AR, game motions, virtual live events, virtual YouTubers, and various motion analyses.
Additionally, it can be utilized for hand-drawn motion coordination and real-time character synchronization with captured motion data (real-time motion capture).
We also offer the “Analyze Plan” as an optional menu, which is optimized for motion analysis purposes. This plan includes features like joint angle acquisition and real-time graphing functions, making it suitable for customers using motion capture for research purposes in fields such as biomechanics and sports science.
The cleaning and correction of the recorded motion data can be completed in a short time (as quickly as the same day), significantly reducing the delivery time and costs of production. The delivery data format supports major formats (conversion fees apply for formats other than BVH/FBX).
※This service is provided in collaboration with Exmotion Inc.
