The production cost varies based on character count, difficulty (ease of reading the manuscript, presence of acting, etc.), and desired delivery time.
Audiobook Production Process
We follow the process below to produce audiobooks:
- Based on the original manuscript provided by you, we review the content and prepare a quote and send it to you.
- Once you approve the quote, please formally place an order.
- We select potential narrators from our affiliated voice actor agencies that match the image of the book. We present the narrator candidates to you for selection.
- Simultaneously, we review the manuscript details (reading style, intonation, etc.) and confirm the content with you.
- Once the manuscript review is complete and the narrator’s schedule is confirmed, we start the recording.
- The recording takes place in a professional soundproof booth to avoid environmental noise. The same director and engineer will handle the entire recording process.
- During the recording, if there are any concerns about the manuscript content, we will confirm with you as needed.
- After completing the recording of all pages, our specialized engineers will perform noise removal, volume adjustment, and speech timing adjustment on the recorded data, then deliver the initial version to the customer.
- Please review the recorded data and notes any mistakes or issues on a retake sheet.
- Based on the retake sheet, we conduct retake recordings. We re-record the necessary parts and replace the corresponding sections in the recording data for the final delivery.
About Narrator Selection
To ensure the quality of the audiobooks we deliver, we carefully select narrators from experienced voice actor agencies that we partner with, based on the content of the book.
When you place an order, if you provide your preferences, such as “gender” and “desired voice image,” we will select narrators that meet your requirements.
We will send you sample voices and profiles of the narrator candidates from which you can choose the one that best matches your image.
Unlike AI-generated synthetic voices, our narrators offer the rich, unique qualities, timing, and emotional expressions that only human voices can provide.
About Recorded Audio
We do not simply pass the recorded data directly to you after recording.
Our engineers, with extensive recording experience, perform noise removal (using AI Voice Cleaning), volume adjustment, sound quality enhancement, and timing correction between paragraphs. We deliver professionally polished audio data with optimal volume and clear sound quality.
