Kousuke Terao / 寺尾昂祐
Responsed for
Event Production & Planning / Technical Art Director / EngineerProfile
Graduated from Nihon University, College of Art, Department of Theatre, Lighting Course
I was a member of the drama club in both middle and high school, handling sound and lighting, which led me to pursue a career in theatre by enrolling in Nihon University.
During my time at Nihon University, I participated as a lighting planner in the world’s first (perhaps rightfully so) virtual character event organized by Naota, utilizing virtual lighting integration.
Participating in a friend’s project at the school festival, I managed the lighting for a live performance featuring singers Hironobu Kageyama and Masaaki Endoh, which inspired me to pursue live event production.
After graduating from Nihon University, I joined a stage and event sound and video company. There, I gained exposure to various musicals and event scenes and eventually transitioned after the Tokyo Olympics. In 2021, leveraging my experience, I joined i-Pairs with a desire to create virtual live productions that break the boundaries between 2D and 3D.
Currently, I stay updated with equipment and industry trends, aiming to connect new technologies with art to create innovative and unconventional event productions, focusing on live and video production.
My daily motivation comes from passionate anime songs, especially those by JAM Project, including Hironobu Kageyama. Recently, my trend has been to create live events utilizing the intense energy of virtual reality.
